Sick Husband

My husband is sick. By which I mean he is moaning and whimpering and hacking dramatically and has taken over my spot on the couch.

So, yeah, he's back from his trip, but he's basically of no use to me. The eleven year old is the only reasonably fully-functioning one in the house. Except she's at school all day, so I'm stuck here with Hacky.

At this point, I'm hoping it's the swine flu, because at least my daughter and I have been vaccinated against that.

HAA!! My husband was laid up the first 2 weeks of the year with that horrible hacking thing. And then he had the nerve to get it again last week! Men really don't suffer silently do they? What delicate flowers they are. Who knew?!

Your post made me laugh..."Hacky"! Oh, but what a poor baby, I mean, he MUST be REALLY ill if he kicked his 8 months pregnant wife who recently went to the hospital with fluid leakage off the couch! Tell him I'll be holding a candle light vigil for him. ha ha ha

Sick men really are the worst. I hope he is on the mend soon for your sake and sanity...and so you can get your couch back!

I second the pp. Sick husbands are the absolute WORST! I hope he's better soon! Take care and stay well, Lorraine!

I second everyone's comments. It really is ridiculous how men over react when they are sick. Monday mine came home feeling "achy". He put himself on the couch and demanded attention the whole time. He had no fever, cough,no stuffy nose, sore throat- NOTHING. He just didn't feel good. NEWS FLASH- almost 34 weeks prego with twins- I have so much pressure down "there" I think they are going to fall out every time I get up. And I need to be rolled over like a beached whale every night for bed. Feeling "good" went out the window for me months ago. Men need to suck it up! It will be fun having 3 babies sick when the time comes :)

hahah Hacky. I am dying. Nothing on this Earth is worse than a man that thinks he is sick. I used to take my husbands piteous moans and whimpers seriously. One time, he SERIOUSLY turned to me and asked " Does my forehead look bigger to you?"

Like he had some mysterious forehead disease and was going to end up on Medical Incredible. I somehow got out of the room and went downstairs to laugh.
